Hoghton Tower
Imagine a 16th Century Manor House high on a hill, visited by King James I, William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens. Imagine joining that illustrious company by taking your first steps forward into marriage and history.
Hoghton Tower offers majestic and inspirational surroundings and is available for exclusive use to celebrate your special day.
The Inner Courtyard provides an intimate setting for a string quartet and canapé reception.
The magnificent Banqueting Hall, where King James I knighted the loin of beef ‘Sir Loin’, is perfect for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. By day, the room enjoys natural light through four thousand panes of glass. By night, an open log fire and music from the Minstrels’ Gallery create a truly memorable experience.
The dramatic King’s Hall is transformed into an elegant bar, whilst coffee is served in the cosy Smoking Room with impressive stone fireplace and club fender surround.
The Tudor Gardens are a photographer’s dream. Clipped yew trees lead to the ramparts, castellated walls, fountain and fairytale turret with commanding views across Lancashire, the Lake District and North Wales.
We work with a range of carefully selected event management and catering companies who will work closely with you to make your day unforgettable.
Hoghton Tower is quite simply unique – the perfect setting for your fairytale wedding.
